    Malbec Wijnen

    Malbec wijn is vooral bekend om zijn rijke donkere fruit smaken en zijdezachte karakter waardoor het zeer gemakkelijk te drinken is. De meeste Malbec wijnen zijn medium-bodied met gemiddelde niveaus van tannine, zuurgraad en alcohol. Ze zijn meestal gerijpt in eiken vaten die verleidelijke tonen van kaneel, kruidnagel en bakkruid toevoegen aan de weelderige pruimen, bramen en zwarte kersen.

    Belangrijkste Malbec wijngebieden

    De beroemdste Malbec producent ter wereld is Argentinië, waar de druif voor het eerst werd aangeplant in 1868 door een Franse botanicus. De belangrijkste Malbec regio van Argentinië is Mendoza, waar de hoge omstandigheden in de Uco-vallei en Lujan de Cuyo helpen bij de productie van zachte rode wijnen met ruime fruitsmaken. Malbec wordt ook geteeld in Frankrijk, waar het een van de druiven is die worden gebruikt in Bordeaux rode blends. De meerderheid van de Franse Malbec wijnen komen uit Cahors en zijn meestal meer sober met hartige en leerachtige noten.

    Top Malbec gerechten

    Malbec rode wijnen zijn krachtig en vol van smaak, dus het is aanbevolen om ze te combineren met stevige gerechten. In Argentinië is de klassieke combinatie een sappige steak bereid op de barbecue, hoewel ze ook goed gaan met champignons, hamburgers, en oude harde kazen zoals Pecorino.
