Wijnen van de Chateau de la Dauphine
Geschiedenis
Chateau de la Dauphine is een van de oudste landgoederen in de regio Fronsac, daterend van eind 1600 en met een prachtig kasteel dat in 1750 werd gebouwd. De moderne geschiedenis van het landgoed begon in 1985 toen het werd gekocht door de familie Moueix, die ook eigenaar is van Petrus en Château Trotanoy. Later werd het gekocht door de familie Halley, die de supermarktketen Carrefour heeft opgericht en ongeveer 10 miljoen euro heeft geïnvesteerd in de modernisering van het landgoed.

Interestante feiten
Het chateau is ook een van de hoogste landgoederen in Fronsac, aangezien het op de top van het plateau ligt met 53 hectare wijngaarden op klei-, kalk- en zandgrond. In 2012 schakelde het domein over op biologische landbouw en momenteel experimenteren ze ook met biodynamische praktijken. Dankzij de enorme investeringen van de Halleys is dit een van de meest geavanceerde wijnhuizen op de rechteroever met de modernste apparatuur.
