    Dit Champagnehuis, opgericht in 1802, werd ontwikkeld door Michel Gonet en wordt nu geleid door zijn dochter Sophie Signolle. Vandaag de dag beslaat het bedrijf ongeveer 40 ha wijngaarden met percelen goed gelegen in de Côte des Blancs (Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Vertus), in de Aube en Sézannais, beplant met 80% Chardonnay druiven en 20% Pinot Noir. Daarnaast bezit de familie zes châteaux in Bordeaux.

    De Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Mesnil Sur Oger is gemaakt van 100% Chardonnay druiven van eigen land in Les Hautes Mottes in Mesnil Sur Oger, gemeente Grand Cru.

    De wijn heeft een mooie gouden kleur, verlevendigd door overvloedige belletjes. In de neus opent hij met aroma's van gekonfijte citrusvruchten en nectarine, die evolueren naar geroosterde en romige tonen. De bubbels zijn rond en persistent in de mond, gevolgd door een heerlijke frisheid en fruitige toetsen van mirabelpruim en peer. Er is ook een opmerkelijke afwerking op vanille en een vleugje zuur op het einde van de mond. Het is een heerlijk en elegant aperitief en perfect bij rauwe zeevruchten voorgerechten, gegrild wit vlees, vis voorgerechten, Sushi en Sashimi. Serveer hem goed gekoeld.
